President Cyril Ramaphosa today tabled the R816.8-million Presidency Budget Vote for the 2026/2027 financial year in Parliament, committing the executive to accelerated economic growth, job creation, and strengthened state governance.

The allocation positions the Presidency as the central driving force to coordinate government programmes and monitor service delivery under the Government of National Unity (GNU).

The R816.8 million allocation forms part of a broader R2.3-billion Medium-Term Expenditure Framework budget secured for the executive office over the next three years.

This funding directly supports core presidential operations alongside vital oversight entities, including Statistics South Africa and the Government Communication and Information System.

Addressing Parliament, Ramaphosa asserted that the administration remains focused on building an ethical, capable, and developmental state to improve the lives of ordinary citizens.

The strategy relies heavily on accelerating infrastructure development, driving structural reforms to boost national competitiveness, and expanding collaborative partnerships with business, labour, and civil society.

Ramaphosa emphasised that the Presidency will maintain strict accountability and transparency while executing its policy coordination and implementation mandates.

He concluded by stating that the budget is strictly geared toward delivering measurable economic outcomes that reduce poverty, tackle inequality, and reverse recent unemployment trends.
